Terms of use

Valid from 9 October 2026. These terms cover the Skillkraft Deutsch website and the Skillkraft Deutsch app for iPhone and Android.

Who we are

Skillkraft Deutsch is run by Sooraj Planku Veedu, Gutzkowstraße 3, 10827 Berlin, Germany. Contact: info@skillkraft.ai.

Your account

You need to be at least 16. Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. One account per person. The German A1 course is free. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile) or on the delete account page.

Be kind: zero tolerance for abuse

Other learners see your first name, profile picture and status on the weekly Champions board. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post anything that is sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, discriminating, illegal, or that shows another person without their consent. Do not pretend to be someone else and do not spam.

Names and statuses pass a word filter. Every learner on the board can be reported or blocked from the app (tap the person on the Champions board). We review every report within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or delete the accounts that posted it. Learners reported by several people are hidden from the board until we have checked.

The course

We build the lessons with care, but they are a learning aid. We do not promise that you will pass an exam. We may change, add or remove lessons and features. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential duties, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. As the course is free, the statutory rules for gifts (Schenkung) apply where they are milder for us.

Privacy and law

How we handle your data is in our privacy policy. German law applies. If you are a consumer, the protective rules of the country where you live still apply.
